May 2019 – Plantworx Supplement
Plantworx, an important showcase for manufacturers, hirers and service providers to the UK plant market, has relocated to a new venue: the East of England Arena in Peterborough. It runs for three days – from Tuesday 11th to Thursday 13th June.
This year the show is, for the first time, running alongside a complementary event – Railworx – dedicated to the fast-growing market in rail-related civil engineering.
The show organisers promise that Plantworx 2019 will be bigger and better than all previous events. The showground has 20% more capacity than the previous venue (Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground in Leicestershire) with more than 140,000m2 of exhibition space.
Filling this space is a record 450 exhibitors, - again, more than ever before. And this year, around a third of the exhibitors are making their show debut, so there’s guaranteed to be plenty of variety and no lack of new products on show.
A vital feature of Plantworx is the live demonstrations which allow visitors to see the machines getting down and dirty and actually showing off their capabilities. Static displays are great if you like pristine paintwork and that ‘new car’ smell in the cab. But if a machine’s going to be working for you, you need to see what it can do.
As ever, visitors with the necessary operators’ license and suitable PPE will be welcome to climb aboard and get first-hand experience of many of these machines in a real working environment.
