April 2017 – Demolition & recycling
Although we all knew it was coming, the Prime Minister’s letter to Donald Tusk last month, triggering Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, has stirred up another hornet’s nest of fear and loathing over the UK’s exit from the EU.
For some, Theresa May’s letter was a suicide note, sealing the dismal fate of the UK economy and banishing us all into permanent exile. To others, it marked the first bold step towards building a bright future free of EU interference and red tape.
Since the referendum decision last year, the UK construction industry has done a decent job of carrying on as normal despite all the uncertainty. Who knows if that fateful letter will make any difference? Only one thing’s certain: we have another two years of this before Brexit becomes a reality. After that it’s anybody’s guess.
